Beginners Guide to FSX

Postby Wedgy » Sun Feb 22, 2009 11:16 pm

So while Danny was away this weekend, I installed FSX on his PC for him (he had been pestering me for months).

I get home this evening to many questions .... posting them for your amusement :))

"I cannot take off"
Are you going fast enough?
"how do you go fast?"

=))

When I fly the "blue striped plane" and press the "go button", it flies left. It doesn't happen when I fly "planes with twirly-round things".

=))

As far as I can tell:
"blue striped plane" = 737
"go button" = Throttle
"planes with twirly-round things" = 50/50 between a Helicopter or a Prop aircraft, I cannot be certain :D

I have promised him a quick lesson in FSX tomorrow ;)

I gave him a 5min lesson in a Piper Cub, but he got bored and went straight back to his Boeing F/A-18 Hornet (which apparently was the "blue striped plane" =)) )

In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.
