Bit of advice needed from you experts. I'm looking to get FSX gold ed for my laptop (vista prem, 3gb ram, 250gb mem, 512mb graphics, Full HD screen) on that spec I hope it runs good, but I'm wondering what extras you recommend like good controllers (joystick/yoke/pedals etc) & if you have to pay for the additional aircraft downloads or if there is a legal way of downloading them for free?

Thanks in Advance,

Stigish

=)) we are far from experts but we do have fun & a laugh :D

Wedgy myself & SM all run the FSX gold

your PC sounds pretty much the same standard as mine & I have no problems running FSX however I don't have all the highest settings active.

joystick, I think we all have the same a Cyborg Evo cost about £25 - I did originally buy the wireless one but it kept hibernating whilst in use so I sent it back & got a wired version.

new a/c there are plenty of free downloads out there Google for sites & I'm not sure if there wasn't a thread on here about where to download them.

I'm sure SM & Wedgy will give you more info

your PC sounds like it's MUCH higher spec than mine, so it should be fine for FSX Stigish :)

there are LOADS of extras you can get: aircraft, scenery, land vehicles, ships, submarines..............

the joystick that Mayfly, Wedgy and i each have got is the Saitek Cyborg Evo...

Image

very cheap, but still very good. have a look on Amazon: here

avoid the wireless one, it's crap

right, on to today's screenies - there's no easy way of saying this, but Wedgy and i spent a while chasing Mayfly's Beaver =))
