Inspired by the new competition I thought I'd see if I could get my only naval aircraft (Sea Hawk) on to the USS Kitty Hawk without arrestor gear.

Image

Yep. Just about but had to steer off of the angled deck onto the forcastle deck to avoid a dip. Lots of rubber removed too.

Image

Managed to get off again without catapult too. Looks like it's time to download/purchase a proper carrier and more carrier aircraft as this is rather addictive. ;)
That's it! You people have stood in my way long enough. I'm going to clown college!

The shuttle is probably above Acapulco going by the angle, and the strip of land is Baja California which is Mexico too.

Wedgy. Your post brings back memories of the Falklands War when I were a lad. There was a newspaper (can't remember which) cartoon of two Argentine soldiers crouched in a bunker with bombs raining down on Stanley airfield from a Vulcan. One soldier shouts to the other "If this is the size of their aircraft then how big are their aircraft carriers?" :))

No. This one was silly. :p Thought about it on approach but in the end discretion was the better part. [-x

Image

If any one wants to try they're welcome.

A few for SM. :p

I flew to England at the start of the year, from LA, due to my grandmother's sad passing away. I love long-haul flights, and so I decided to reenact my flight back from Heathrow on FS2004, using Precision Manual's brilliant 747-400!

Departing Heathrow Terminal 5...

Waiting to be assigned a gate at LAX...

Done! :D
